Quick Summary
Binance launches commission-free trading for over 7,000 US stocks and ETFs
Exchange plans to introduce tokenized stocks as part of multi-asset super app vision
Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has launched commission-free US equities trading for eligible users, marking a significant step in the platform's ambition to evolve into a comprehensive multi-asset financial super app.
The exchange announced that users will gain access to more than 7,000 US-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) with zero commission fees. Investors will also be able to purchase fractional shares starting from as little as $5, with select equities available for trading on a 24/5 basis, according to an official announcement.
Alongside the equities launch, Binance confirmed plans to introduce tokenized stocks as part of its broader strategy to build a unified platform bridging traditional and digital financial markets.
"Tokenization has the potential to reshape financial markets by giving users greater control, more flexibility, and ultimately more financial freedom," said Binance co-CEO Richard Teng. "We see a significant opportunity to make financial assets more accessible, more useful, and more connected across traditional and digital markets."
The new offering is enabled through Binance's broker-dealer, Nest Trading Limited, headquartered in Abu Dhabi's International Financial Centre (ADGM), providing the regulatory framework for the equities service.
The move places Binance in direct competition with Coinbase and other platforms racing to consolidate stocks, ETFs, derivatives, and tokenized assets under a single trading account. Coinbase rolled out commission-free US stock and ETF trading with 24/5 availability in December 2025.
The development reflects a broader industry trend in which leading crypto exchanges are aggressively expanding their product offerings beyond digital assets, seeking to capture a larger share of the global financial services market by integrating traditional investment instruments with blockchain-based infrastructure.
As the race toward full-service financial platforms intensifies, Binance's latest move signals that the boundaries between crypto and traditional finance are continuing to blur, with major exchanges positioning themselves as the next generation of global investment platforms.
